How I got started stamping. :
I guess most of us start stamping by going to a home stamping party. I didn't order anything but found out that a rubber stamp store was opening a few blocks from where I live. At the time, I was creating Folk Art muslin dolls and thought it would be neat to stamp a border on their aprons. I had my own line of dolls that I made, created from my own patterns. I waited patiently for over 2 weeks for the stamp store to open. Unfortunately I found out that there was no ink at that time that would work for stamping on fabric. So I decided to not waste my new stamp purchases and bought some card stock. And so it began.

Stamping Style:
I started stamping like most of us do, black ink, coloring in with markers. This was before blenders and such. I still have the very first completed card I made from a class I took at the stamp store. Slowly my style changed. I called it moving to another level of stamping. Interactive cards were lots of fun creating like gel cards, shaker cards, explosion cards. I was always trying new things in search of the artist in me. I am still looking for that person. Now I enjoy layering, layering, and layering. I still struggle with embellishments, the same as when I was embellishing my dolls. Creating different backgrounds is another technique I enjoy doing.

Stamp Preference: Mounted and Unmounted
